


She says, “Although I transferred after my third year to enter an Athletic Training Program, my time with LSSC Athletics will always hold a place in my heart.” In her third year, Stitch became the first student Athletic Trainer which allowed her to cover home games and travel with the Women’s and Men’s Basketball and Volleyball teams. Back then, they did not have all the funding and equipment that the women’s teams have now, but everyone on the team was grateful for the chance to play. When traveling to games, they piled into a station wagon and would sleep two players to a bed. She played tennis the first year it was introduced to LSSC and recalls that there were only four players.
